Roles and Functions of the Society

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Society of Loreto College fosters digital literacy, innovation, and technical skill development among students. It offers an inclusive platform through inter- and intra-college events, coding competitions, workshops, and its annual tech journal Connect. By promoting engagement with emerging technologies such as AI and cybersecurity, the society supports interdisciplinary learning and career readiness.

Contribution to NAAC Criteria

Aligned with NAAC criteria, it enhances teaching-learning practices, encourages research and innovation, bridges the theory-practice gap, and ensures inclusive access to digital tools. Overall, the ICT Society contributes to the holistic development of students and prepares them for a tech-driven future.

About

The Information and Communication Technology society explores the arenas related to computers and technology. In today's world, technology is a tool that has enabled us to venture into various arenas, the internet has connected people across the globe allowing information and today even goods to be circulated. The ICT Society incorporates various activities that allows students to learn and grow their knowledge about technology and its various branches. This society incorporates even those with minimal knowledge of computers and enables everyone to enhance their knowledge in computers. We organize various events at the Inter-college and Intra-college level, where students can showcase their tech-savvy, intellectual and artistic skills. We held Tech Coaction at Samagam 2022 and 2023. The ICT society also has it's annual magazine, 'Connect', that allows students to put to use their creativity, writing articles about the tech world and making puzzles, crosswords and many more.
