This innovative initiative embodies our commitment to fostering holistic development, ensuring that academic excellence is complemented by practical experience and social justice. The EWYL Scheme is designed to exploit the immense potential of our students as valuable human resources, involving them directly in the management and development of the institution. By providing hands-on experience, we aim to better prepare our students for future professional endeavors, while simultaneously encouraging a deep understanding of the dignity of labor. Furthermore, this scheme serves as a vital platform to engage students in meaningful, positive activities, diverting them from avoidable distractions. The EWYL Scheme provides much-needed monetary assistance to the socioeconomically disadvantaged students, enabling them to meet their monthly expenditures and pursue their education with greater ease and confidence. Through this scheme, Loreto College continues its legacy of empowering women to reach their fullest potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

Objectives:

Our goal is to empower students by involving them directly in the institution's management and development. This initiative aims to:

  • Utilize student talent as a key resource.
  • Provide hands-on experience to boost future employability
  • Instill an understanding of the dignity of labor
  • Engage students in productive activities, minimizing distractions
  • Help deserving students in financial need cover their monthly expenses.
  • Procedure

    This scheme allows various departments, libraries, and administrative offices (referred to as "hosts") to utilize student services.

    For Hosts: To request student assistance, hosts must submit a SERVICE REQUISITION Form online. The coordinator of the host department is responsible for:

  • Delegating tasks and providing necessary training.
  • Maintaining a mandatory attendance record.
  • Submitting the signed attendance record and remuneration bill online for payment processing.
  • For Students: Interested students should complete a Candidate Registration Form and submit it online.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Students will be paid directly into their bank accounts upon submission of an honorarium bill and an attendance-cum-progress report @ 100 INR per hour. Students can work a maximum of two hours per day and maximum of six hours per week, ensuring their studies are not compromised. This allows them to earn up to ₹2,500 per month. Upon satisfactory completion of their services under the EWYL scheme, students will receive a certificate.
