About NSS

National Service Scheme

National Service Scheme (NSS) is a noble experiment in academic expansion and outreach. It aims to inculcate the spirit of voluntary work among students and teachers through sustained community interaction. The scheme brings the academic institution closer to society, fosters the spirit of selfless service and enhances a sense of responsibility towards the larger society. Special camping forms an integral part of NSS. It provides unique opportunities to the students for group-living, collective experience, sharing and constant interaction with the community. Other activities include plantation of trees, programmes on legal awareness, environmental sanitation, nutrition, health and others. Over the years, NSS has emerged as India’s largest student youth movement in linking with the community.
