ANNOUNCEMENTS
In alignment with NAAC requirements, Loreto College established the IT Committee to implement key initiatives aimed at strengthening the institution’s technological infrastructure and enhancing the integration of ICT in teaching, learning, and administrative processes. Acknowledging the growing importance of technology in higher education, the committee is entrusted with planning, developing, and maintaining the college’s digital infrastructure in line with its vision and mission.
One of the core functions of the committee is to enhance ICT-enabled teaching and learning practices across departments. By encouraging the use of digital tools, it supports the creation of interactive classrooms, innovative pedagogical approaches, and accessible learning resources. A key strength of the committee lies in its multidisciplinary composition. Faculty members from different academic domains, administrative representatives, and student leaders collaborate to bring diverse perspectives to the decision-making process. The active participation of student representatives from the ICT Society ensures that learner focused insights are given due importance.
Beyond infrastructure, the committee promotes digital literacy and empowerment by organising workshops, training sessions, and initiatives to familiarise faculty and students with emerging technologies. In all its efforts, it seeks to encourage efficiency, innovation, and accessibility while remaining true to the ethos and values of Loreto. Through its initiatives, the IT Committee envisions a future ready academic environment where tradition is blended with digital advancement, ensuring holistic growth for the entire college community.
