The Earn While You Learn (EWYL) Scheme at Loreto College is open to undergraduate, postgraduate and B.Ed students who meet the following criteria:
Financial Need: This scheme is designed for socioeconomically disadvantaged students. Applicants must submit their parents' income certificate or Income Tax Return (ITR) from the previous year.
Social Backwardness: The students belonging to Scheduled castes/ Scheduled tribes/ Non Creamy layer of Other Backward Classes can avail the opportunity of this scheme. Applicants must submit certificates for the same.
Religious Minorities: Students belonging to religious minority groups can avail this facility.
Satisfactory Work Performance: Continued participation in the scheme depends on satisfactory work performance. Students whose performance is deemed unsatisfactory will be excluded.
Digital Payments: All payments will be made digitally.
Professional Conduct: Participants are expected to uphold the college's values and ethics.
Work Assignment: Work assignments are based on need, and registration does not guarantee placement. There are no claims for social security benefits under this scheme.
Maintain Good Standing: Students must maintain a consistent sound academic record, regular attendance and good conduct to continue in the scheme.
Limited Working Hours: Students can work a maximum of two hours per day and maximum of six hours per week. Working hours will be scheduled to ensure they do not interfere with regular classes or studies.
Cut-Off Date: The registration deadline will be used as the cut-off date for determining eligibility.
Certificate of Completion: A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of services under the EWYL Scheme, provided performance has been satisfactory.
