Student Facing Interactive Session on pursuing Higher Education
On November 14, 2025, the Literary Society, in collaboration with The Chopras (formerly known as TC Global), organised a student facing interactive session on pursuing higher education. Connected with over 40 universities globally, The Chopras have been supporting and facilitating student-university communication for over half a century. Ms. Paramita Roy, an alumna of Loreto College and the current Director of Outreach at The Chopras, handled the session. Ms. Bipasha Banerjee, Relationship Manager, and Mr. Pranoy Roy, Student Onboarding Analyst, were also present. It was attended by undergraduates and postgraduates across all years and disciplines.
After a concise overview of The Chopras' ethos, Ms. Roy elaborated on the various aspects of pursuing higher education, including the formalities of application, procedures, and the current state of the domestic and global education sectors. In a pragmatic attitude, she discussed the implications of career counselling, self-discovery, anxieties and mental pressure faced by students, and maintained a balance between the professional and the personal. A highly engaging and interactive session, students benefitted from the holistic and realistic discussion of what pursuing higher education truly entails.
