Annual Awards Ceremony 2025
The Annual Awards Ceremony of Loreto College, Kolkata was held on December 13, 2025 for the graduating batches of 2024–25. The occasion brought together a vibrant gathering of students, alumnae, teachers, parents, and donors, reflecting the strong sense of community and shared pride in the institution's enduring traditions. The ceremony was organised to celebrate student excellence by acknowledging outstanding achievements in academics as well as in co-curricular and extracurricular pursuits, thereby reinforcing Loreto College's commitment to holistic education.
The welcome address was delivered by Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala, Teacher-in-Charge of Loreto College. The event was also graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Jayanta Sinha, Controller of Examinations, University of Calcutta. His speech highlighted the illustrious legacy of Loreto College and its longstanding contributions to education and society. He warmly congratulated the graduating students for their perseverance, hard work, and success, encouraging them to carry forward the values and spirit of the institution as they embark on new academic and professional journeys and contribute to the larger project of social development.
The programme featured the auspicious lighting of the lamp, a prayer service, and a cultural presentation. This was followed by the reading of the College Report by Student President Anuja Prasad and Student Vice-President Atreyee Banerjee. The report outlined the events and initiatives undertaken in the institution during the academic year 2024–25. Subsequently, Dr. Sinha presented awards to each of the student achievers for their exemplary performance in diverse domains. The event concluded with the collective singing of the Loreto Chorus, marking a fitting end to a memorable celebration of institutional success and pride.
