Parenting in the Age of Change - online seminar for Parents
Objective of the Programme: The objective was to provide parents with insights into contemporary social, technological, and emotional influences on children; to strengthen parenting practices through evidence-based approaches; and to promote resilient, connected, and healthy family relationships in today's fast-changing world.
The Online Seminar for Parents was held on 21.11.25 through google meet, in Kolkata at 7 p.m. The session was taken by Ms. Maupali Ghosh, Clinical Psychologist working as Counselor in Loreto College. The session started with introducing the speaker and the participants. Then the participants were first shown a video on parenting. Thereafter, the speaker talked about what parenting is in the age of change, challenges faced by parents today and parenting strategies for a changing world. The seminar included videos, power point presentation followed by discussion and question answer session. The participants were very happy about this initiative that Loreto College has taken and wished for more sessions in the future. The feedback forms show they liked the workshop and thanked the presenter Ms. Maupali Ghosh for helping them to better understand their children and strengthen the parent child relationship.
