PsychQuest

PsychQuest, an intra-department interactive psychology-based event, was organised by the Psychology Society in collaboration with the Games Society and IQAC of Loreto College on 1st November 2025 in Room No. 219. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from four teams, representing both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Departments.

UG Teams:

  • Team 1: Aashiya Akhlaque and Ishanee Sengupta

  • Team 2: Akhshitaa Gupta and Adrika Mukherjee

  • PG Teams:
  • Team 1: Diyotimaa Roy and Ritaja Bandyopadhyay

  • Team 2: Debalina Louha and Tannishtha Sengupta

  • The event was honoured by the presence of Ms. Maupali Ghosh, Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Marriage Counsellor with over 12 years of experience across clinical and neuropsychological settings such as The Marriage Fit, The Institute of Neurosciences (Kolkata), and Tata Medical Center. Her expertise and insightful feedback added immense value to the event.

PsychQuest'25 featured a series of innovative rounds that blended psychology-based riddles with physical coordination tasks, encouraging students to think critically under pressure, apply theoretical concepts creatively, and collaborate effectively as a team. Through these rounds, the event enhanced analytical reasoning, presence of mind, and decision-making, aligning with IQAC and NAAC objectives of promoting experiential learning, holistic development, and value-based engagement.

The activity-based design of the event supported key NAAC learning outcomes as it:

  • Strengthened critical thinking and concept application through real-time challenges.

  • Fostered teamwork, communication, and peer learning in an interactive academic setting.

  • Encouraged problem-solving, adaptability, and reflective thinking.

  • Integrated cognitive, emotional, and physical skills, contributing to holistic student development.

  • PsychQuest was supported by its sponsors-

  • The Sunny Weaves by Bismah, representing handcrafted creativity.

  • Educrat IAS Academy, the Knowledge Partner for the event.

  • After an engaging and enthusiastic competition, Aashiya Akhlaque and Ishanee Sengupta emerged as the winners, while Akhshitaa Gupta and Adrika Mukherjee were declared the runners-up. All participants were felicitated by the Judge.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the constant support and guidance of our Teacher-in-Charge Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala and Staff Advisors Dr. Sayantani Chatterjee, Dr. Dinaz Jeejeebhoy, and Mrs. Nayanika Saha.
