Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Loreto College, Kolkata and Uddami India Foundation

Loreto College, Kolkata, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uddami India Foundation, an organisation dedicated to promoting skill development and digital empowerment among young adults and underserved communities. This partnership reflects the College's continued commitment to extending education beyond the classroom and fostering employability, self-reliance, and social awareness among students.

Through this collaboration, Loreto College and Uddami India Foundation aim to enhance students' exposure to community-based skill training, computer literacy, and career-oriented learning. The Foundation provides structured programmes, workshops, and mentorship sessions focusing on digital skills, communication, and leadership, while the College facilitates student participation and academic linkage with these initiatives.

The MoU offers students the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning experiences, particularly in digital education outreach and community service. Students contribute as volunteers and facilitators in Uddami's training programmes for economically underprivileged youth, thereby gaining insight into grassroots development and inclusive education practices.

This partnership aligns with Loreto College's vision of empowering women through holistic education rooted in service, leadership, and social justice. It also supports the institution’s objective of building academic–community linkages that promote ethical citizenship and employability skills in alignment with national priorities for higher education and social inclusion.

The College looks forward to sustaining and expanding this collaboration with Uddami India Foundation, ensuring that both institutions continue to work together towards the shared goal of empowerment through education and skill development.
