Overseas Education Career Fair organised by The Career Counselling Cell, Loreto College in collaboration with Blue Sky Educational Services Pvt Ltd
The Career Counselling Cell, Loreto College in collaboration with Blue Sky Educational Services Pvt Ltd organized an Overseas Education Career Fair at Loreto College on 7 November 2025. Addressing the current need of the youth being employment-ready, several university representatives emphasized the viability of enrolling in courses that would give graduates the skills to work in the corporate sector or to become entrepreneurs. Increasingly popular courses like Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management and Sports Management were offered by some Swiss universities while institutions strong in research like George Washington University, University of Reading, University of Sussex, University of Sheffield, SMU Singapore and Canterbury Christchurch University showcased research opportunities to the academically inclined. Several universities from Germany, France and Italy offering professional courses in business administration, finance and hotel management participated in the fair. Over 300 students enthusiastically took part in the interactive sessions with various universities. Students enrolled in undergraduate courses, post graduate courses and the B.Ed addressed their queries to the university representatives which ranged from academics and visa requirements to scholarships and work opportunities. ETS India, the conducting body of the TOEFL and GRE examinations also received a large number of queries. Some students enquired about study opportunities in Scandinavian countries, the Netherlands, Hungary and the Czech Republic where tuition fees were lower than other parts of Europe. ‘It was a very fruitful and productive interaction between the college students and the universities that made us understand the academic and financial needs of the student body ’ said Samarjeet Saha, Outreach Coordinator (Schools and Colleges), Blue Sky Educational Services
