Inter-College Reel Making Competition on "Upcycling E-Waste: Turning Tech Trash to Eco-Friendly Treasure"

On 2nd September at 7 PM, the ICT Society, in collaboration with the We Nature Society, successfully organised an inter-college reel-making competition on the theme "Upcycling E-Waste: Turning Tech Trash into Eco-Friendly Treasure" The event sought to raise awareness and inspire innovative approaches to the reuse of electronic waste among students.

The competition invited students to participate in teams of two, resulting in four entries in total. The participants included the home team from Loreto College and teams from the MOU institutions: St. Aloysius University and Scottish Church College. St. Aloysius University featured two teams, while Loreto College and Scottish Church College had one team each.

A detailed flyer was circulated to participants, outlining the rules and regulations. Each team was tasked with creating a 30-40 second video showcasing their efforts in reusing e-waste, along with impactful slogans or captions reflecting the theme. Submission guidelines, video format specifications, and a Google Drive link for uploading entries were also provided.

The entries were judged by Dr. Amruta Deshmukh, who carefully assessed each submission. The results were declared as follows: 3rd place - Scottish Church College, 2nd place - Loreto College, and 1st place - St. Aloysius University.

The competition encouraged students to think creatively about e-waste management while strengthening collaboration among participating institutions. It served as a valuable platform for promoting sustainable practices and inspiring young changemakers to contribute towards environmental responsibility.
