Orientation of the POSH Act for Semester 1 students

In order to initiate the First Semester students who have taken admissions in the college, an Orientation programme on Prevention and Redressal of Sexual Harassment at Workplace was organized by the Internal Complaints Committee on September 9, 2025. The Orientation, a part of the Deeksharambh system, was conducted by Ms. Sonali Ghosh Panda, Advocate, Calcutta High Court, who is the external member of ICC, Loreto College. With a lucid presentation, Ms Panda took the students along an impactful discourse, engaging with them over definition of the nature of workplaces, safety, types of sexual harassment and the various means of complaint and redressal mechanism in the college. The students had an impressive interaction on the POSH Act and its implications in the college.
