Orientation Programme on Scholarships for Freshers
The Orientation on Scholarships for the newly admitted students of Loreto College was held on August 22, 2025, in the college auditorium. The session aimed to familiarize students with various government and institutional scholarship opportunities available to them.
The presentation highlighted major scholarships such as Kanyashree (K2), Aikyashree, Talent Support Programme (TSP), Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM), and Girl2B Foundation scholarships. Special emphasis was placed on the Kanyashree scheme, including its eligibility criteria, application procedure, and required documentation. Students were informed that a date would soon be announced for a hands-on session, during which the Scholarship Team mentors would assist interested students step-by-step in completing their applications.
The orientation also introduced The Mary Ward Scholarship for Academic Excellence, a new merit-based award starting from the academic session 2025, which recognises University Toppers, two of each Major/Honours Department and two top performers in the Multidisciplinary Programme.
The session concluded with an assurance that the College remains committed to supporting students in availing these opportunities and promoting academic excellence.
