Spoken English Class conducted at Kalagachia Kailash Kamini High School in Paschim Barisha
The community outreach program conducted its first Spoken English class on 26th July at Kalagachia Kailash Kamini High School in Paschim Barisha. The volunteers reached the school at around 12:30 PM, and the class began shortly after, at 12:50 PM.
This introductory session was attended by approximately 36 students from the 8th Standard. The focus of the class was on teaching the students how to introduce themselves in English, both in formal and casual conversations. While the students were generally able to understand what was being said, many of them found it challenging to respond in English on their own. A few students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and quickly picked up sentence structures and pronunciation, while others needed more time and guidance.
The overall response was positive, and it was evident that with regular practice, the students would improve significantly. The session concluded around 1:30 PM, after which the students left for their regular classes.
Programmes like this not only support students in developing essential language skills but also build their confidence and communication abilities. Such outreach efforts are crucial in creating inclusive learning opportunities and helping young learners prepare for a more connected and competitive world.
