Loreto Shield Quiz, 2025

On July 11, 2025, the Literary Society of Loreto College, Kolkata, organised the thirtieth edition of the Loreto Shield Quiz. Since its institutionalisation in 1995, the quiz has held a place of prominence in the quizzing circle of Calcutta. Ms. Reesoom Pal, a doctoral fellow at Jadavpur University and seasoned quizzer, was the quiz master for the afternoon. The quiz was attended by UG students of invited colleges, and the students and teaching faculty of Loreto College.

The quiz saw participation from eight colleges across the city - Bethune College, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Government College, Jadavpur University, Presidency University, Scottish Church College, St. Paul's Cathedral Mission College, St. Xavier's College, and Loreto College. After an afternoon filled with intriguing and fascinating brain-teasers and audiovisual rounds, the team from Jadavpur University emerged victorious, with Presidency University placing second and Scottish Church College placing third. The event was sponsored by TC Global, Biskfarm, Deb Sahitya Kutir and Write From Heart.
