Students' Paper Presentation
The Research and Development Cell of Loreto College, Kolkata organised a students' paper presentation by semester VI of the Department of Economics on May 14, 2025 in the college auditorium from 01:00-01:45pm.
The study was conducted by Swastika Mukherjee, Saachi Goyal, Ishani Bharat and Namrata Karia under the able guidance of Prof. Mr. Nilavo Roy. The research was based on a theoretical inquiry into the implementation of structural reforms and sustainable livelihood of informal sector workers. The paper threw light on one of the most pertinent issues in the growth and development of the Indian Economy in the post-reform era. The session concluded with the audience posing insightful questions to the presenters who, in turn, offered thoughtful and well-reasoned responses. It was an enriching experience for the first and second year students stimulating their interest to delve beyond the curriculum and pave the path forward for newer ideas to converge in the future. The paper proves to be a testament of the hard work of each and every student and the mentorship of the esteemed professors which made it a significant contribution to the field of Economics.
