Special Assembly Conducted on May 14, 2025

On 14 May 2025, a solemn and heartfelt prayer service was conducted at Loreto College, Kolkata, in a spirit of compassion, remembrance, and unity. It brought together the entire college community to honour the memory of those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam tragedy, while also expressing solidarity with the armed forces of the nation and fellow citizens facing adversity.

The service commenced with an address that set a compassionate and reflective tone. The program drew inspiration from the teachings and writings of Lord Buddha and Rabindranath Tagore. Students paid tribute to their philosophies through a song and dance presentation. This was followed by a prayer in memory of the departed souls and a plea for the restoration of peace in their lives.

Invoking the spirit of peace and harmony, a musical ensemble was performed. To instil a sense of pride and unity, the national anthem was respectfully rendered. The prayer service concluded with a vote of thanks.
