ITIHAAS – INDIA UNVEILED
The History Society of Loreto College, Kolkata, organised an open quiz competition, Itihaas - India Unveiled on April 28, 2025. The event saw enthusiastic participation from multiple colleges across the city in its preliminary round where a total of twenty questions were asked. The top six colleges who scored the highest scores, qualified for the final round. The quiz was conducted under the able guidance of quizmaster, Mr. S.V. Raman - popularly known as Raju Raman - the former Programme Director at Goethe-Institute/Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata and a distinguished figure in panel discussions and quiz-based events.
Following several intense and intellectually stimulating rounds on historical handicrafts, mythology, fashion, and eminent figures in Indian history, Presidency University, represented by Aryadeep Sinha and Chirantan Banik emerged as the winner with an impressive score of 120 points. Loreto College, represented by Kirtika Saha and Prerana Sen, secured the second position. The entire session was not only marked by fierce competition but was also highly insightful, eventful, and intellectually enriching, offering both participants and the audience a deeper appreciation of India's diverse historical landscapes.
