EARTHUSIASM 2025
Under the guidance of Father John Rogers, The Leadership Training Service Society (L.T.S) organized an event named "Earthusiasm(Kolkata Edition)" on April 27, 2025, to celebrate Earth Day with enthusiasm and to help students enhance their management skills. This event brought together a group of girls from , Loreto College, schools like Loreto Bowbazar, Loreto Convent Entally, Loreto Elliot Road and Our Lady Queen of the Missions to celebrate and spread awareness about the environment. Preparations began on April 10, 2025, with students, aided by Father Rogers, devising various activities to increase knowledge about Mother Earth.
Students of Loreto College formed organizing committees with specific portfolios such as the Chief Coordinator, HR Manager, Hospitality Committee, Finance Committee, and Event Manager. The portfolios of students from Loreto College were as follows:-
1. Adiba Khan- Chief Coordinator
2. Hrishika Biswas- HR Manager
3. Abia Khalil-Operations Manager
4. Sneha Dutta- Event Photographer
5. Diya Bhattacharjee- Event Manager
The students diligently fulfilled their responsibilities, learning the importance of conservation and sustainability.
The event started with an opening prayer and welcoming speech followed by an engaging interactive session designed to help students get to know each other in a fun and exciting way. This was followed by a self introductory activity. Next, a photo reading session ensued, where students in groups, were given a picture to analyse and speak about for a minute. The event also featured a group discussion where students were talked about the eco friendly ways in which they can protect the planet. Through these activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of taking small but impactful steps toward conserving nature, enhancing their soft skills, and reinforcing the significance of working towards a sustainable future.
It was a long event which started from 10:00 a.m. and ended at 4 p.m. To ensure that everyone are comfortable, the Hospitality Committee organized for refreshments.
On behalf of the society, I , would like to thank Dr. Sr. A. Nirmala for giving us the opportunity to participate in this event. We are grateful for the constant support of Father John Rogers. The most overwhelming part of the event was the enthusiastic participation of the students. All in all, it was yet another successful event for the L.T.S. Society.
Certificates will be issued to all participants, including organizing committee members, by the L.T.S office through Father John Rogers.
