Department of Political Science: First Alumnae Lecture under the Department Theme "Roots to Wings"

The Department of Political Science organized the first Alumnae Lecture under the annual departmental theme "Roots to Wings" for the Semester 1 students on November 14, 2025. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Rituja Ghosh, an alumna of the Batch of 2017, currently associated with the Kautilya School of Public Policy.

Ms. Ghosh spoke on the theme "Liberty, Equality and Rights", offering both conceptual clarity and contemporary relevance of these foundational political ideas. She also shared valuable insights into her academic and professional journey after graduating from Loreto College, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary learning, research exposure, and leadership skills in shaping a career in public policy.

The session witnessed active participation, with 38 Semester 1 students attending the event. Students engaged with the speaker through questions on rights-based frameworks, policymaking challenges, and academic pathways in the field.
