The Department of Psychology, Loreto College, organized its First Academic Orientation Program for the newly admitted first-year students on 7th November, 2025 (Friday). The session aimed to familiarize students with the department's academic structure, faculty members, course curriculum, and the various departmental events and activities.
The event was conducted by the Class Representative (CR), Aashiya Akhlaque and the Sub-Class Representative (Sub-CR), Adrika Mukherjee of Semester V, who are the senior most batch and the first batch under NEP 2020 and hence they shared their experiences and offered guidance on navigating college life, balancing academics, and making the most of departmental activities. Interactive ice-breaking session and open discussions helped create a warm and engaging environment, encouraging new students to participate and connect with one another.
The event aimed to create a comfortable and friendly environment for the new students, making their transition into college smoother. It concluded with a brief feedback session marking the beginning of the academic journey for the new batch of Psychology students at Loreto College.
