Kalakriti 2023

Kalakriti, the annual event organised by the Department of Psychology and the Psychology Society of Loreto College, Kolkata, stands as a beacon that celebrates unity in diversity. Since its inception in 2010, this event has been a platform fostering inclusivity and talent. This year marked the 13th successful celebration of Kalakriti, bringing together individuals from six participating schools to showcase their diverse abilities. It was held on November 28, 2023 in the college Concert Hall.

Students of Akshar, Behala Bodhayan, Manovikas Kendra, Mentaid, Noble Mission of South Calcutta, and Reach were invited to be part of the programme this year. Kalakriti featured two categories of events, off-stage (Santa is Coming to Town and Paper Picassos) and on-stage (Poem Parade, Sway the Day, and Heartstrings), thereby providing a diverse range of opportunities for participants to display their talents.

Kalakriti 2023 was a resounding success, leaving both the participants and the students of the Psychology department with cherished memories. Compassion, understanding, tenacity, and the capacity to break free from one’s self-imposed limitations and those imposed by society were just a few of the many special lessons imparted by the participating school students to the audience.
