Exhibition on 'Mahatma Gandhi: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.'

On December 1, 2023, the Department of B.Ed., Loreto College, Kolkata organized an exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi to commemorate his contribution to various disciplines. The theme of the exhibition was ‘Mahatma Gandhi: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.’ It focused on different aspects of Gandhiji’s life and sought to extend curricular knowledge into practical work.

To offer an interdisciplinary insight into Mahatma Gandhi’s works and beliefs, various exhibits based on historical findings, educational thoughts, economic measures, and geographical sightings were displayed. Along with pictorial charts and graphical images, other paraphernalia of Gandhiji’s life such as the Charkha, khadi cloth, jute basket, mud bath, and incense were also arrayed.

The exhibition was kept open for all students, teachers, and other staff members of the college. The event garnered much praise from the members of the staff, who appreciated the B.Ed. trainees for their efforts and innovation.
