Department of B.Ed. Teachers' Day Celebrations 2022

On September 3, 2022 the students of the Department of B.Ed. organised a cultural programme to celebrate Teachers' Day. The programme commenced with a prayer service and a brief note on the relevance of the day, observed on September 5, every year. It was truly a celebration of the incredible bond shared between the teachers and the students; one which lasts far beyond the limited tenure of the course. The class song was an expression of the students’ heartfelt gratitude towards their teachers who mould and nurture them with utmost love and care. Poignant excerpts from Camus' letter to his school master, Tagore's A Beggar and the King of Kings and a letter by Abraham Lincoln to his son's teacher were read which underscore the indispensable role of the teachers as beacons of hope and inspiration. The recitation of An Ode to Teachers and the impressive classical dance performance on Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu were indeed a tribute to the relentless effort, dedication and noble endeavour of the teachers. Each faculty member of the department was honoured by a handmade card, thank-you note and flowers.
