L.T.S. Society Event on Communal Harmony

The Leadership Training Service Society of Loreto College organised a ‘Slogan Writing on a Poster’ competition and an online event as part of its celebration of Communal Harmony Week. Students were requested to design posters with appropriate slogans related to the central theme: ‘Communal Harmony: The Different Shades of Our Culture.’ Undergraduate students from all the three years participated enthusiastically in the competition and submitted posters and slogans of varied styles on December 18, 2021. Debika Bhakat (History Honours, First Year), Ahana Das (English Honours, Second Year), and Khadeeja Jamil (Economics Honours, First Year) were declared the winners of the competition.
The online event on Communal Harmony was conducted on December 20, 2021 and was attended by the teachers and students of Loreto College. The participants read out sections from the scriptures of various religions such as Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism, Shinto, and Zoroastrianism. This was followed by students delivering short speeches on the theme of Communal Harmony. The L.T.S. Society event served as a moving reminder of the principle of unity in diversity that continues to strengthen and enrich our nation.
