Free Covid-19 vaccination camp in association with Kolkata Municipal Corporation

A Covid-19 free vaccination camp was organised by Loreto College on June 24, 2021 in association with Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The camp was open for current students, their parents, ex-students and staff.

The Principal of the College Sr. Dr. Christine Coutinho flagged off the camp with a prayer for safety and protection. A team of para-medical staff in the presence of a doctor administered the Covishield vaccine to 248 registered candidates.Three members of the office staff undertook a training conducted by the Health Department, Government of West Bengal, to take care of the logistics on June 23, 2021.

The College administration remains indebted to Kolkata Municpal Corporation for enabling the college to help its students and staff. It looks forward to an opportunity to organise a similar camp to administer the second dose of Covishield as most participants received the first dose.
