The year 2020 has been unpredictable so far. But in our college, we have kept the spirits high and have organized the programmes which have been the hallmark of the institution. One of the most important celebrations of Loreto College is the observation of students’ performances on Teacher’s Day every year. This year, however, the times were challenging, but the undergraduate students of the college organized an online programme to honour their beloved professors. The presentation was full of hope and mirth. The theme of the ceremony was ‘You (the professors) have touched us and we (the students) have grown’. The songs and dances performed by the students were worth praising. Semester three of English Post Graduation Department also organized an online event on Google Meet for Teachers’ Day, along with the outgoing class of semester four. The programme included a myriad of performances comprising of Indian classical, vocal, and instrumental renditions along with special messages for the teachers. Overall the programmes rekindled the hope of upcoming good times. The celebrations turned out to be a long-awaited respite to all the souls amidst the pandemic.
