Kalakriti

Kalakriti- An amalgamation across different levels of ability is an annual event organized by the Psychology Society of Loreto College which aims to provide a platform for differently abled children to showcase their talent. It is an opportunity for experiential learning for the students as they interact with children across different levels of ability.

The Psychology Society of Loreto College organized its annual event Kalakriti - A Celebration of All Abilities, on the virtual platform YouTube in the form of a video premiere on 25th February, 2021 from 3:30 pm. This year’s Kalakriti was different but the enthusiasm and the brilliance of the performances of the students across a spectrum of abilities were no less. Students from Akshar, Behala Bodhayan, Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy, Manovikas Kendra, Mentaid, Reach and Sarva Shiksha Mission participated in the four events of this year’s Kalakriti - Waste to Wealth, Dress as You Like, Solo Song with a Twist and Solo Dance. The event was judged by Mrs Papia Mukherji (Senior Librarian, Loreto College), Dr. Ranjana Banerjee (Associate Professor, Dept. of Education, Loreto College) and Ms. Ranjana Das (Counselor, Loreto College). The society is grateful to Sister Christine Coutinho, Ms. Sharmila Mitra Deb (AAO), Dr. Sushma Sahai (IQAC coordinator), staff advisors Dr. Dinaz R. Jeejeebhoy, Dr. Jhelum Podder and Dr. Saoni Banerjee, department teachers Dr. Sayantani Chatterjee and Mrs. Shankhabela Mukherjee, the judges, Ms. Donna Chung the students of the Dept. of Psychology and all the participating schools for their immense support in making this event a success despite the pandemic situation.
