The workshop aimed to explain to the students the nuances and practicality of mobile journalism. A lively interactive session coupled with Mr. Nandy's fondness for Kolkata and the bubbling enthusiasm of the students, made it an extremely informative event, focusing on mobile phones and pocket digital devices as a means of journalism, reporting, and editing. A lot of important aspects were covered during the session, where the role of a journalist as an all-rounder was emphasized. Further, the importance of maintaining an ethical aspect in reporting and a proper understanding of the intricacies of mobile journalism was also discussed.
The students got an opportunity to understand the importance of maintaining a fine balance between reel and real life. It was an enriching session for the students as they could learn the basic skills of MOJO and reflect on the changing nature of journalism.
