The Literary Society of Loreto College is committed to enhancing the creativity of the mind, simultaneously encouraging the literary talents of the college students. One of its major responsibilities is to publish the annual college magazine, EXPRESSIONS. The society also edits a monthly wall magazine. The Ashoke Chatterjee Memorial Essay Writing Competition (in English and Bengali) is also organized by the society. Every year, the Literary Society hosts the Inter-Collegiate Loreto Shield Invitation Quiz. The Amal Ghatak Memorial Quiz and a creative writing competition are held during SAMAGAM. The latest addition to the society’s activities is the QUIZ Club, which conducts inter-departmental and inter-year quizzes.
